Explore page on Instagram is the worst place to visit. It’s like hell. The page can easily turn your brain off immediately. Explore pages contain a type of content that can make you angry even if it wasn’t your business, content that can make you feel bad about your life even if you are doing great in reality, content that can make you sad, pessimist, and other negative vibes. Because that kind of content can hook people and make them mindlessly spend their time on social media. Explore pages filled with a clickbait, hoax news, and fake videos. It is filled with content mostly made by desperate people who seek attention.

There’s a feature, one particular feature in any social media platform that I love and use very often. It is one of my favorite features of social media of all time and I’m glad that they provided a user like me with this feature. They MUST have this feature in their platform. This feature is called “Not Interested”. Because most of the content in social media especially the one that suggested to me is trash, bad, and gross. So often I would find that option and tap on “Not interested” and hopefully they would not show me that kind of content anymore.

Not gonna lie but Threads is one of my favorite social media right now. Since I followed several photographers, illustrators, and book collectors (basically I followed people who have good aesthetics) my feed was filled with a lot of inspiration from other creative people and that makes me want to share my art too. Very different from Instagram where they often suggest you with trash content. As a creative person, you can upload up to 10 images per post without cropping or scaling down. The suggestion is engaging and motivates me to make more art. Every time I needed motivation or inspiration, I would open threads. It did not make me mindlessly scroll because I got a lot of inspiration from it.
